CT Junior Eagles-Girls Tier 1

Our program has always existed to provide players a stress-free environment, offering solid development and visibility. Following up on our season from 2024/2025 where each of our teams played 40 games between June & December in addition to skills development sessions, we have solidified a great partnership with Post University to create an amazing experience for our girls. 

Our schedule will focus on HIGH VISIBILITY events for our players. We are working on securing 4-6 Tournaments/Showcases for the upcoming season. Most events will have practice ice the weekend leading up to each tournament

After Labor Day, we begin our normal CHC schedule and practices, which occur only on Sundays through Thanksgiving. The annual New England Regional tournament will occur in early March.

Due to recent leadership changes, we are thrilled to announce that Shannon Turner has stepped in to assist Watertown with building a competitive Tier 1 roster in the 2025-26 season. She will also assist in securing a skilled coaching staff for their teams. The teams will remain affiliated with Watertown Youth Hockey as they always have, however, Shannon will leverage Northern CT Lights’ and ISCC resources to make sure the players have a fun, competitive, and worthwhile season. Recognizing the limited opportunities for Tier 1 girls hockey in Connecticut, this collaboration will ensure that all girls involved have access to the best resources and competition available!

Tryouts will be led by Shannon Turner, Assistant Coach Taft Women’s Hockey and Program Director, Northern CT Lights Hockey.

 Additional coaches in attendance for tryouts:

• Abie Ives – NCAA and PHF goalie Alum (Quinnipiac and CT Whale) 
• Colton Orr – Current Harvey Head Boys Hockey Coach, previously assistant PHF and Head PWHL Coach



In the coming weeks, we will rebrand our team (colors, name) to reflect this positive step forward for the Watertown Youth Hockey Girls Program.  More information coming soon!
